Evacuations Are Advised as Storm Nears the Southeast

This article discusses how the government advises residence in south eastern states to evacuate because of the oncoming storms. I chose this article because i connects very well with what we were discussing in class. In class we discussed about a man named John Locke who was a philosopher from the enlightenment period. Locke beilieved that it was the role of the government to protect the peoples natural rights ( Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness). I believe that in this case, the government is protecting peoples lives by having mass evacuations of the city.

I think these Hurricanes are horrible, but i am glad the government is there to help people. In this case, John Locke was right, the government have protected the people and that is what he would want. I feel really bad that these hurricanes are coming back again because New Orleans was just hit about two years ago and they are still recovering. I just hope all those southeaster states will be alright.
